Mary Gilchrist McDougald was the daughter of "Sir" Sidney Gilchrist and Catherine McPherson Gilchrist. They settled in Kaufman County, Texas where they are buried. Mary's uncle Colin McPherson (1823 - 1894) moved there also and is buried with them.
