Archibald "Wild Archie" McNeill [1792–1862] was the son of "Long Duncan" McNeill [1761-1832] and his wife Margaret nee McNeill McNeill [c.1764–c.1839; daughter of James McNeill of McCaskills Creek]. "Long Duncan" was the son of Turquill McNeill of the Argyll Colony. Wild Archie's wife, Elizabeth McNeill, was the daughter of Godfrey McNeill [died c.1806] and Katherine "Kitty" McDougald.
